Die Oribe Cracked-Slip Chawan wird mit Engoben überzogen und mehrmals bei hoher Temperatur gebrannt. Die Oberfläche ist mit Eisenerz behandelt, darüber kommt eine traditionelle Oribe-Glasur aus der Region Seto/Mino, die Matthias Kaiser selbst herstellt.
