Die Herstellung jedes Stückes ist ein enormer Aufwand was Tonherstellung und Glasur betrifft.
Die Cracked-Slip Chawan wird mit Engoben überzogen und mehrmals bei hoher Temperatur gebrannt.
Die Oberfläche ist mit Eisenerz behandelt, geschliffen und poliert, innen farblos mit einer Glasur aus Schilfasche, Apfelbaumholzasche und Feldspat glasiert.

The production of each piece is an enormous effort in terms of clay production and glaze.
The cracked-slip chawan is coated with engobes and fired several times at a high temperature. The surface is treated with iron ore, ground and polished, the inside is glazed colourless with a glaze of reed ash, applewood ash and feldspar.
