Die Produkte des österreichischen Keramikers Matthias Josef Kaiser sind über die ganze Welt verteilt, seine Produkte begeehrt.
Die Herstellung jedes Stückes ist ein enormer Aufwand was Tonherstellung und Glasur betrifft.

Für die Schale wurde ein heller tschechischer Ton - naturbelassen und mit größeren Steinen - verwendet, der eine wunderbare Textur hat und der Schale etwas rustikales verleiht.
Die Glasur ist eine sogenannte Madara Glasur, welche sehr dick aufgetragen wird. Ihr Ursprung liegt im Süden Japans, in Karatsu und wird von Matthias Kaiser selber hergestellt.
Der rote Ring definiert die Grenze zwischen Glasur und unglasierter Oberflache und ist gleichzeitig ein reizvolles Motiv.

The production of each piece is an enormous effort in terms of clay production and glaze.

A light-colored Czech clay—natural and containing larger stones—was used for the bowl, which has a wonderful texture and gives the bowl a rustic look. The glaze is a so-called Madara glaze, which is applied very thickly. It originates from Karatsu in southern Japan and is produced by Matthias Kaiser himself.
The red ring defines the boundary between the glaze and the unglazed surface and is also an attractive motif.
